How Can You Mend This Broken Heart...

It has been raining since early evening and boy, it sure is cold. It's probably around 26 degrees Celcius and my toes are freezing!

I can't imagine being in a room -160 degrees Celcius! That's what the remaining teams of the Amazing Race Season 15 did in one of their tasks, but luckily it was only for 2 minutes.

I just can't get over the Globetrotters' elimination because it was for something I find so easy. They shouldn't have opted for the 4 hour penalty. Imagine all the possibilities of coming up with the correct answer in 4 hours. I mean, it was only 5 letters! I really wanted them to be in the final 3 but that's what we call it a race. Congrats to Brian and Ericka, they deserve to be in the final 3.

I don't know who I'm rooting for the win but definitely not the brothers of Sam and Dan. And it's not because they're gay... I just can't stand their bickering. Even worst than females, I would say.

OK, I'm gonna drown my sorrows and drink loads of caffeine tonight. coffee

Meghan and Cheyne won The Amazing Race Season 15!

Sink Or Swim

Let me share with you my little secret (well, not really a secret but rather a handicap)... I can't swim!cryblush

People always tell me swimming is so easy to learn. Uh huh... tell that to a person who almost drowned when she was a kid. I just can't do it. I am terrified of water. I have that phobia, errr... what's the term? Yeah, aquaphobia.

At swimming pools it's so easy to find me. I'd be using a float hanging on to dear life to the pool's ladder. Or at the kiddie section... hahaha. It's no laughing matter though cos I know I'd be safe there. But swimming is reputed to be one good form of exercise and even more so if you're expecting. I know a few blogger friends who are expecting so I'd like to share the following article with them.biggrin

Keeping Fit While Pregnant: Walking And Swimming Through The Trimesters

Exercising while you're expecting is important for a number of reasons. You'll sleep better, avoid fatigue, and enjoy an easier pregnancy. There are many types of activities you can do to stay in shape as a mother-to-be. Among them, walking and swimming are ideal. Both are cardiovascular, which means they will improve your body's use of oxygen; that's good for both you and your little one. Plus, both are low-impact. You'll enjoy developing muscle tone and keeping excess weight off while avoiding putting undue stress on your joints. Below, we'll provide some tips that you can use to walk and swim to stay fit throughout your pregnancy.

The First Three Months

If you don't normally exercise, start slowly. It's less exerting to swim, so you can safely do so for a half hour each day. A lot of moms-to-be enjoy doing it in the morning because the weightless sensation of being in the water helps to curb nausea. Plus, working out in the morning gives you an energetic boost to get through the rest of the day.

When you walk during your first trimester, you'll need to take more care, especially if you're doing so in the sun. Use sunscreen, wear a hat, and have plenty of drinking water available. wear loose fitting maternity clothes or extra comfort. If your body suffers dehydration, it can trigger contractions. If you rarely exercised before getting pregnant, start with a 20-minute lazy stroll. Then, increase your speed as your body grows accustomed to the activity.

The Second Three Months

When month four arrives, you won't need to make any modification to your workout in the pool (besides wearing a larger Maternity Swimsuit). Swimming is uniquely easy on your body. So, unless your normal swim from the first trimester is causing exhaustion, keep it up. Walking during your second trimester can be dangerous if you're not careful. At this point, your balance and equilibrium will shift slightly. To counteract this change, walk with your back straight, tuck your hips to prevent unnecessary swaying, and swing your arms as balancing weights. Pay attention to where you're walking. You may have been able to recover gracefully from a stumble before getting pregnant, but your lack of balance now can be dangerous.

The Final Three Months

Not only is swimming easy on your joints, but as you round the corner on your third trimester, it can also control your body heat. Breaststroke is particularly valuable because it lengthens the muscles in your chest. To alleviate the pressure from bobbing or turning to breathe, consider using a snorkel.

Because walking increases your body heat, you'll need to be extra careful during the third trimester. Consider taking walks in an air-conditioned gym or nearby mall. Also, speak with your obstetrician to make sure your workout doesn't pose a danger to your baby during the final lap of your pregnancy. Exercise should be considered a vital part of your daily routine from the beginning of your pregnancy through childbirth. Add swimming and walking to your workout to stay fit and energized.

Dear Lucy...

I am blessed to have four sisters (no brothers though). And today is a very special day because it's my sister Lucy's birthday! Everyone is welcome to flood her with birthday wishes... so keep 'em coming ya.bringit

A very happy birthday to you sis. Just remember that you're not forty five; you're eighteen with twenty-seven years of experience! Thank you for being there for me, during the good times and the bad times.lovebighug

What else can I add about my sister? Well, she's a tough and strong woman. She has gone through many difficulties in life but I never ever hear her complain, she just keeps going and giving and never expects anything in return. Here's wishing you a wonderful birthday. God bless you!

Oh, Purrleaseee...

Tell me, does a 6 year old girl even know how to 'look at someone with lust?'

Well, that is exactly what the father claimed in defense of his actions of raping his own daughter ever since she was 6 and this has been going on for 8 years! I feel like kicking his balls and stomping on his brain! The nerve of a father, worse than an animal! angry

Excerpt taken from The Star...
A 38-YEAR-OLD man used his daughter as his sex slave for the past eight years, starting when she was just six, Harian Metro reported.

The girl, from Kajang, Selangor, told her mother about this but the mother refused to believe her and even accused her of making up stories to tarnish her father’s name.

The victim then approached her 16-year-old eldest sister who had also been a victim of her father’s sexual abuse two years ago.

The older girl advised her to lodge a police report. The father was detained in his house in Bangi last Friday.

“The suspect said he did not rape her, but instead, claimed the girl was desperate and frequently gazed at him with lust.

“He said he had no choice but to fulfil her sexual needs but never forced himself on her,” said a police source.

The suspect has been detained until tomorrow.

“The eldest daughter had also previously lodged a police report claiming she was raped by the father but retracted it after persuasion from her family members,” said the source.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Shakaruddin Che Mood confirmed receiving the police report and the arrest of the suspect.

The Idiot Box And The SmartBox

As usual on Monday nights, I would be glued to the TV watching the latest season of The Amazing Race. biggrin

I am so glad Flight Time and Big Easy are still in the game. I was so worried during the Roadblock, they were kinda neck and neck with Brian and Ericka. At least there's another leg before the final three is revealed. My bet would be on Cheyne and Meghan, The Globetrotters and as much as I dislike the brothers of Sam and Dan, I think it would be quite difficult for Brian and Ericka to overtake them since they have to go through a Speed Bump on the next leg. But then, we are talking about the AMAZING Race here, where anything is possible.

Tonight's episode was kinda bland for me. I don't know, I just find the tasks given too easy and I am missing that adrenalin rush. Both Meghan and Cheyne proved to be a very strong team after taking the number one spot several times compared to the other teams, but I guess you can't fault them for being strong and smart. They've been pretty lucky too on several occasions. Hopefully, with next week being the decider for the final three, the tasks would be more challenging and exciting! pray

Another show I'm looking forward to watching is the upcoming Anugerah Juara Lagu, a local TV production. I'm happy Stacy AF6 made it to the finals along with Estrange and the other Akademi Fantasia kids (Hafiz, Akim and Aizat). I'm also happy to see Yuna making it to the finals. And get this, Tomok will be there too! Whoaaa... reality show kids rule... haha!

OK, enough of TV for now. I know some of you are not really into this sort of thing. Perhaps I could interest you with some information on storage Minneapolis and storage st. paul. They provide professional moving and storage solutions and they are committed to doing it much better than their competitors.

The company, better known as Smartbox is the leading provider of moving and storage solutions for both residential and commercial customers through its network of franchise locations. So, if you need some simple, smart and affordable solutions for storage and moving sometime in the near future, just think of Smartbox!smug

Hot Potato Gone Cold

I was channel surfing a couple of days ago looking for something interesting to watch. Then I saw this retro movie being shown and just by the looks of the set and actors I knew it's one of those B grade kinda movie. You can always tell a B grade movie a mile away.

I don't know why but I find myself drawn to B grade movies. The acting and story lines are totally foolish and comical, yet I'm still glued to watching those atrocious acting (enough to make you cry at times!) LOL!

Now this particular movie was called Hot Potato. With a title like that, it's hard for me to resist the kind of acting they would serve... and I was proven right. I'm still amazed I actually watched the whole movie, all excruciating 88 minutes of it. It felt more like 88 hours!

I did some googling and I found out that it was filmed in 1976. The story is about a Martial-arts expert and his sidekick in an adventure to rescue an ambassador's daughter who was kidnapped in Thailand. The acting is really bad, the fight scenes are just the kick and punch kinda type and being repeated over and over throughout the movie. There are some 'juicy' moments with the hero and heroine seen frolicking in a river but in a cheesy kinda way.

Check out the movie's advertisement poster. So, when are you gonna catch this show? rotfl

The Devil's Ultimate Guide To Holiday Shopping!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dirt Devil. All opinions are 100% mine.

One can't help when shopping malls have their year end sales with attractive discounts and promotions. Last minute buying also means impulse buying and therefore you end up spending more than you should.cry

Man vs Beast

Skill and strength of man and beast captured in one moment...

I believe I can fly...

Established in ancient bronze age Crete during the Minoan era, bull leaping is practiced throughout Europe from France to Portugal.

With as many as three bulls in the ring at any one time, each 'Recortadores' team - made up of between 5 and 7 members - go head-to-head in a dangerous and skilful performance which can last up to four hours.

Like the bull jumpers themselves, Chilean photographer Mery Alin Nuñez had to rely on reflexes and instinct to get these incredible images ~ Source: www.dailymail.co.uk
Whoaaa... surprise

Now, that I could never do! Even if I practiced cos I sure don't dare to step into the stadium. I don't want to be gored to death by a raging bull! And I have a weak heart too... I'd probably faint even before I face the bull... tongue

If you're into this kind of entertainment, then head to Plaza De Toros bull fighting stadium in Valencia, Spain. I've never witnessed a bull fight before, not even a buffalo fight... dogs and cats fighting is almost an everyday 'entertainment' near my house though.

Someone Stole My Clothes Hangers

My clothes hangers keep getting missing lately. How do I know? Well, because I've counted them. There are 5 dark green ones, 2 pink ones, 1 red, 2 blacks, 1 white, and 10 light green ones.

Last week one dark green hanger went missing. Before I left this morning, I found them scattered on the floor and I noticed the pink ones are gone! I wanted to scream but then it was only 6.30am... I didn't want to wake the whole neighborhood for a clothes hanger. That would be so stupid but I am still pissed. angry

To that hanger thief, I hope you're satisfied with your stolen pink hangers. Go spank yourself silly with it and hang yourself afterward! Moron!phbbbt

I think I had better keep my hangers indoor from now on.

Ahhh well, at least it's Friday. Have a great weekend everybody! wave

I've noticed a few who have taken the EC widget off their blogs. I'm sad to see them leave one by one. EntreCard definitely works for me. I doubt I'd ever get almost 300 visitors daily without EC's help and I'm thankful for whatever exposure I can get. It's definitely a bonus when fellow EntreCarders read and leave comments too.biggrin

I tend to click and go too sometimes (guilty as charged)!blush But it depends on the topics. I tend to leave comments on lighter issues, not so much on serious issues like business, law, environment, tech, money making , SEO's and all that stuff cos I have no inkling as to what they're about.

There are definitely a lot of great blogs on EC and I am glad to have stumbled upon a few bloggers who replies their comments and even return visits regularly.

Lights, Camera, Action!

How does $5000 sound to you? That's a whole lot of money. It could be yours, you know. But how? confused

Well, all you have to do is make a video and send it to the iLASIK Video Contest organized by Abbot Medical Optics Inc. (AMO). Your video should be related to how better vision could improve or has improved people's lives. You may submit your video in one of the following categories:
  • “My contacts are getting in the way of my good time”
  • “My favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision”
  • “You should see life after the iLASIK® Procedure”
Okay, now if the money doesn't lure you, perhaps these fabulous prizes will... a HDTV package valued at $2500 or the Flip UltraHD™ camcorder. Are you getting excited yet?applause

Once you've submitted your video, start calling your friends, relatives, ex boyfriends or girlfriends, maybe you could even try to bribe your enemies to vote for your video. Just put on your loveliest smile and befriend everyone and beg them to vote cos their votes could help you win the prize.

Don't forget to tell them that they can vote for their favorite video once per day until December 10. That's still a lot of time so it's still not too late if you haven't submitted your video.

So get that video recorder and start recording already! And if you're taking part as well, then gimme a buzz cos I will vote for your video. If by any chance you win the $5000 grand prize money, you owe me a cup of coffee! coffee
