The Return

Image from F1.GPUpdate.net

... of Michael Schumacher to F1 (albeit temporary) has brought joy to his fans including me!! dance

Now, I look forward to watching Formula 1 races again. I didn't follow this season's F1 cos it didn't excite me. His last race in F1 was way back in 2006 at the Brazilian GP but I'm sure Michael can still race. Heck, I don't even care if he doesn't win, I just want to see him race. biggrin

Welcome back Schuey!bighug

Read this article by David Coulthard on Schuey's return to F1.

Endure...

If I can endure for this moment,
whatever is happening to me.
No matter how heavy my heart,
or how dark the moment may be.
If I can but keep on believing,
what I know in my heart to be true.
Then darkness will fade into morning,
and with this dawn a new day, too.

How Not To Lose Weight...

I had cravings for something really sweet today so I went all the way to Berjaya Times Square to buy these...

... and I ate not just one but three Krispy Kreme donuts!! blush

How la to lose weight like this?? cry

I have to say Krispy Kreme's donuts are so soft, it's like eating cotton candy... but they're too sweet. I prefer Big Apple donuts. I really should start taking care of my health and watch what I eat... but, but... it's just so hard. Would be nice to have a personal trainer or maybe I should join The Biggest Loser!

Dog Shampoo: The Return!

Have you ever had days when you find that you really have nothing constructive to post about. A day where you're already feeling lousy and then you open your email and you see that glaring message telling you that you have practically twelve hours to get your act together and come up with a post or else!nailbyte

I mean seriously, have you guys had a day like this before? The mind really doesn't want to cooperate and to be honest I'd rather go to bed right now. But there are things that need to be done and questions that need to be asked before I head to dreamland. Yes really, there are some very important questions that I need to ask you.

Urmmm... do you have a dog?biggrin (Anny, you just keep quiet ah). If you do, does it suffer from itching, scratching and emits a stink beyond belief? You do? Well, if you do, then keep on reading. Do you wash your dog frequently only to have the stink return frequently too? Or do you just hate bathing your dog cos no matter how many times you rinse your dog you can never get him or her completely rinsed off? Yes, yes, I know I'm asking too many questions but hey, it's my blog, I can ask all the questions I want!laugh

Ok, where was I? Oh, stinky dogs. Well, if you do have a stinky dog and need some help, I'd advise you to try an all natural dog shampoo called DogOsuds made by Dinovite, Inc.

It lathers beautifully and rinses off real easy. It contains 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils that have this natural healing properties which I'm sure your dog is going to appreciate. It's also great for sensitive skin, contains no chemicals or perfumes whatsoever that will irritate or dry your dog's skin.

Don't even think about trying it for yourself, well unless of course you've just tangled with a skunk cos it works great as a skunk odor remover too! OK, there, I've asked all the questions I'm going to ask for today and now that I've finally done what I needed to do, I'm heading off to bed. But before I log off, let me just say, "darn this twelve-hour deadlines".frustrated

Nature No Free

OK, I need to post something light and humorous for me and Rozie whose also has been feeling down today. Sometimes we'll just have to think positive and hope for the best. After all, there's always light at the end of the tunnel... biggrin

Now, who can tell me what exactly this ad is all about coz I'm stumped!confused

Oh, Virginia!

I don't know why I feel so gloomy today... well, I sort of know the reason for it but I don't know why it's affecting me so much. I find it hard to focus on what I'm doing. My mind starts to wander off and dream of living elsewhere. What with all the things that are happening in this country.

Maybe I should check out those new homes in Virginia heehee, the kind of home that fronts a lake in a nice 2,300 acre countryside. Something to escape the hustle and bustle of the hectic city life. One with loads of activities to keep me busy. Most importantly something with a lush canopy of trees and woodland vegetation for some quiet peace of mind.

But then again I'd be missing my family so much, my friends even my country. It may not be perfect but still I want to remain here till I'm old and grey. As the Malay saying goes... Hujan emas di negeri orang, hujan batu di negeri sendiri, lebih baik di negeri sendiri. (Translated as: Although there maybe lots of opportunities overseas, it's better not to be far away from loved ones in his/her own country despite the hardship and difficulties).

And besides, I'd be missing all the great food like the glorious Nasi Lemak, the crispy hot Roti Canai, the aromatic smell of Fried Kway Teow!drool Oh man, now I'm getting all hungry.

Bewildered...

Have you ever felt like going to a remote place? Right now that's exactly how I feel. No, don't get me wrong... I'm not running away or anything.

It's just that I feel so enraged and sad over the happenings in our country lately. Where is justice? I feel so helpless just thinking about what my kids and the generations to come have to deal with. Malaysia used to be a very peaceful place... it still is but I just hate the politicking and propaganda that's going on. Certain individuals are so bent on destroying unity...

I do not read the papers anymore nor do I watch the TV news. Then I found out about an innocent man's death. I cannot even begin to imagine what the family is going through. I do not know them but I feel for them. How would you feel if the very same thing happens to your own family??!!

My Homely Spa

It's been 4 days since my Genting Highland trip and I do feel a lot better, I could probably go for another round or two of those roller coasters... the really tame ones, of course. I still don't dare giving the Corkscrew and the Space Shot a try... not in this lifetime anyway.heehee You need a heck of a lot of guts just to step up to the queue to try out one of those things! But what I really, really, really need right now is a day at the Spa coz my achy feet still badly need some pampering.

It's time like these I wish I had one of those jacuzzi bathrooms suite. You know, the kind you see on those travel shows on TV. I'd just lie down all day and enjoy my luxurious bath all in the comforts of home away from prying eyes. Maybe not all day cos I'd end up looking like a prune but you know what I mean. Imagine those soothing jets of water splashing and massaging my battered body... Gosh! I can feel my sore and tired muscles relaxing already! daydream. Now to see if I can find a couple of million dollars or so to afford a place with a jacuzzi!

A Day At The Highlands

I was supposed to write about my trip to Genting Highlands (GH) 2 days ago but I am in pain, I still have aches and pains in every joint in my body.cry

I told both my sons at the last minute about the trip, knowing too well they'd be pestering me with all kinds of questions had I told them about it earlier. Both of them had no idea what to expect at GH... I found it hilarious when the youngest asked if there was a beach at GH!rotfl I kept them in suspense coz finding out for themselves would be more exciting.

It was great to see my sister again after 2 years (as well as my bro-in-law and my adorable niece). I couldn't communicate with my niece seeing how she only speaks in German so it was just smiles and laughters that connected us. It was my 2nd time at GH and it has definitely changed a lot, there were more rides and attractions. We were fortunate that the weather was kind to us, breezy, windy and misty at times but it didn't rain.

I wanted to go for all the rides especially the roller coasters but I just didn't have the guts... yeah, I'm a coward. In the end I only went for the tamest of the rides, called the Cyclone. My youngest boy was terrified and he even cried during the ride... I wanted to cry too but it was too late since we were already on it. That was my one and only ride and I'm still reeling in pain.

But I am so proud with my eldest son coz he went to most of the big rides (the Flying Coaster and the Corkscrew) with some coaxing from me. Hats off to my sis for being the bravest of all, she went to all the big rides including the heart stopping Space Shot!surpriseapplause

I had expected so much out of Snow World but it kinda left me disappointed. I expected a totally different atmosphere and landscape but it was kinda empty with just a small cottage, a hill, and an igloo. Even the snow was not even white. It feels like you were in a huge freezer and that was it.straight My youngest son didn't like it coz he couldn't breathe properly. He said something like he didn't want to die and ran outside for some warmth!

The best for me were the Bumper cars and a game of Bowling! I only bowled once before and it surprised me that I managed to throw a few decent throws, well, quite a few ended up in the drain but I thoroughly enjoyed myself... even the boys and my sister had so much fun at the bowling center. The worst rides... don't bother going for the Pirate Train and the Crazy Space Lab! A waste of time.shameonyou

Food was pricey! A plate of Chicken Rice cost RM12.50, a hotdog cost RM5.00 but that was expected. Maybe I'll just tapau some food if I do make another trip next time. It was unfortunate that the cable cars were under maintenance that day, the trip back left me with a terrible headache (coz the roads are snaky and steep).

Enjoy the pictures...

What Cut Are You?

I'm really the T-Shirt and Jeans type of girl. I rarely ever wear dresses, well except on my wedding day that is. I remember how puffy my wedding dress was... gosh, when I think about it, it was such an ugly dress! laugh OK, I'm really straying away from what I should be writing so let's get back on track.

I normally buy non -branded Jeans. As long as they nicely fit my... err... bum, then I'd buy them. Of course they at least have to look decent. Call me a cheapskate but I'm just being sensible. Besides, how many people really do bother to look at someones Jeans and start comparing it. But if I did have the money to spend, I would not hesitate to get a few pairs from Armani Exchange Womens Premium Denim. In fact I have my eyes on a few of these sexy Jeans... daydream

These three pair of Jeans, the Indigo Destruction Skinny leg, the Wing printed Boot Cut and the Rhinestone Skinny Flare fit really caught my eyes. They're just something I would love to get my body into. Aren't they just fabulous?

What is even more fabulous is their New Premium Denim starting at only $98. If you purchase any pair of denim from Armani Exchange be it in the store itself or even online between the dates of 7th July to 19th July 2009, you'll receive a gift card that will entitle you to a $20 off from your next purchase, provided you purchase at least $100 or more. This offer is valid from the 30 July through 15 August so don't wait too long.

OK, I'm so darned sleepy right now cos I just got home from an outing with my sister which I'll post about soon but before I hit the sack, let me remind you about the SMS campaign for the text A|X contest in which you stand a chance to win a pair of denim every day for the entire month of July. All you need to do is text the keyword 'DENIM2' and send it to ARMANI (276264) and that's about it. Check out their website for more details and their A|X Blog too.

I've really got to go now cos I can hardly keep my eyes open already. Good night people! sleep
