So I Walked Under A Bus, I Got Hit By A Train!

Assignments are few and far between these days... so when I finally managed to see one today, I was ecstatic. I grabbed it right away before someone else took it. I'm sure my fellow blogger friends who are in the same boat share my feelings about the lack of assignments these days. So, please don't mind me while I write about FELA today ya.

Now if you're wondering what FELA is well, it's definitely not that furniture company okay. FELA is actually the Federal Employer's Liability Act. Now just what is the Federal Employer's Liability Act Lawyers?

Well, let's just say that you're working for the railroad company and happen to get run over by a train, urrrmmm, maybe not run over but just injured. You'd probably need some good lawyers with a working knowledge in the provisions of the Federal Employer's Liability Act (FELA) which basically governs your right to recovery.

What FELA does is that they establish a specific process for recovery and identify the sort of damages that you may recover cos you can bet your bottom dollar that the railroad company will try to blame you for your injury and would do everything in their power to try to pay you nothing or even next to nothing!

Honestly, this is the 1st time I'm feeling very excited about OIAM. Tomok has definitely made the show exciting and I look forward to seeing him perform every week. I also want to see what else Nine has to offer as well as Amylea and Esther. The rest? Well, they just have to prove me wrong and the rest of the fans by wowing us with their vocals and performance. I want to be entertained

Mood Swings!

Help!!!! I'm addicted to changing themes... my iGoogle homepage theme!

I get bored seeing the same theme for my iGoogle homepage so what do I do? I go and search for new themes every week! It's crazy cos they have thousands of cute, adorable, lovely themes. I'm having a hard time selecting the best and I end up changing my themes every week and I can't seem to stop myself. Iya, I know... it sounds gila!!

I had this theme a few weeks back...

I like it cos it's dynamic, meaning the theme changes according to your local time ~ morning, afternoon and night. And the picture changes too, it has a pink Pig of happiness and the other is a yellow madness hamster!

Then, I got bored with it, I switched it to this theme...

Nice kan? This theme also changes. If you like this, it's under Artist Theme called Vladdo. Once again, after a week, I got bored and went hunting for a new theme!

The stuffed toy dog is just adorable. Anny, doesn't it look similar to Dom? But my love for this theme lasted just a couple of days cos I'm just drawn to cute illustrations and so I was searching through thousands of themes again. Sigh!

Then yesterday, I stumbled on this theme and I'm currently using it. Isn't it a cutie?? I just love the fat cat waiting for its food. I'm sticking to this one... I've only been using it for 2 days, I hope I don't have to find a new one so soon. I think this IS the one! But then again... we'll see!

Jamaican Dream

I'm so bloody stressed out!

Somebody save me... take me somewhere far, far away! Somewhere like the Caribbeans

Hmmm... come to think of it that may not be such a bad idea after all. In fact, one of those Jamaica vacations sound mighty interesting to me. Why Jamaica? Well, why not! Any other better suggestions would be gladly welcomed.

Besides, I checked out their Ocho Rios hotels. It's simply amazing and with the inclusive Jamaica deals that they have, you get the best value for your hard earned money. Your meals, drinks, entertainment... all included! Now doesn't that make you want to go on a Jamaican holiday too?

One In A Million (OIAM) Season 3 ~ Top 9

Pija was eliminated... and it didn't surprise me at all

The guest judge this week was Fauzi Marzuki, he stutters quite a bit and didn't really contribute much in the way of constructive criticism. Bland, that's what I would call his judging! The theme was Songwriters' Week where the finalists get to sing popular songs written by songwriters like Taja from Meet Uncle Hussein, Aidit Alfian, Audi Mok, Andy Flop Poppy, Pacai and Estranged.

Aweera did a very lacklustre performance. His rendition of Janjiku, made popular by Sofaz was bland. He sang without really knowing the meaning of the song and was nasally. Maybe he was under the weather or something cos he didn't look too well to me.

Amylea looked great, her outfit was definitely a hundred times better than last week but I find that thing they drew on her face pretty distracting, it's kinda unnecessary I think. She sang Yang Pernah by Estranged. I think she did the best she could, with a few changes made to suit her style.

Fify was a total copycat of Elyana's style of singing with Kalis Rindu. I didn't find anything different but it was pointed out that Aidit Alfian didn't allow any changes to the melody. Duh...

Rizu did pretty well with Cinta (Flop Poppy). It was arranged to suit his style of singing, sounded different from the original and I loved it. Rizu is very engaging whenever he sings but he doesn't have enough 'air' to sustain the notes.

Tomok! What can I say? He delivered again and I'm really liking this boy even more . Singing a totally different genre from what he used to sing, he made the song (La La La Kerjalah by Meet Uncle Hussein) like his very own. He looked good, left his face unshaven to suit the mood of the song. He is brilliant on stage. The immunity award is well deserved... finally! Check out the video here.

Anith picked the most difficult song of all (Mungkin). Anuar Zain is one heck of a singer and I don't think anyone could've pulled off this song better than him. But given that, she did her best with it. I think Anith could possibly be eliminated next week.

I really liked Nine's performance this week, he looked more confident and comfortable and it showed when he sang Aku dan Kamu (Flop Poppy).

I am still not sold with Esther. She tends to over-perform (stage antics) and I prefer if she toned it down a little with her hand gestures and movements. I also didn't find anything special when she sang Datuk Siti Nurhaliza's Dia Lah Di Hati (composed by Aidit Alfian). I hope she proves me wrong next week because I really do want her to go far in the competition.

Simon chose composer Audi Mok's song Generasi Ku, originally sung by OAG. He changed some of the melody and made it to suit his singing style. It was pretty good. The guys are definitely stepping up their game. Perhaps we'll see an all-male finalists this season... who knows

Hafiz AF7

Now, I'd like to touch a bit on Akademi Fantasia 7. I'm curious as to why they didn't end the show with the signature Menuju Puncak theme song dance... hmmm... . The Sarawakians are really good this year especially Hafiz. I loved his voice and his performance, he was such a natural and adorable too. I think only half of them are deserving to be in the Akademi and I was quite disappointed when no one was eliminated tonight

Well, it's only the 1st concert and some of them were overcome with nerves. Maybe they'll eliminate 2 students next week... . And they could do with a brighter and bigger stage!
