Mumblings

Today is the first day of Hari Raya yet you wouldn't be able to tell at all at my place. It's so quiet and totally unlike a country celebrating a festival. I suppose everyone has gone back to their respective hometowns to celebrate the festival seeing as how it's a nice long holiday.

I'm not really complaining though. The place is nice and quiet, even the fireworks were kinda subdued. The thing is I'm not really sure how to spend my holidays. I don't really have many Muslim friends (except back home in Sabah) save for all my blogging buddies who are also probably all back at their hometowns digging in to some sumptuous rendang, ketupat, lemang and dodol! Yum, yum!

I could use the time to catch on on my reading which I've kinda neglected lately. But the trouble with that is I'd probably need to change my glasses first cos the power has deteriorated over the years and it makes reading for a long time pretty unpleasant. The thing with glasses is I have to keep on changing them every few years which can be pretty costly as well.

I suppose I could opt for iLasik and get my eyes 'lasered' and fixed once and for all, totally eliminating the need to ever wear glasses again. I used to be wary of these so called iLasik treatments but over the years with the improvement in eye correction technology and the vast amounts of success stories I've read makes me wanna go and get this treatment right now. Now if only some huge amounts of money would fall from the sky.
